Oddity in the classified

I may be being dense but how has it ended up as a 70 plate?? I just don’t understand when it’s 18 years old. It’s not brand new old stock and whilst it’s an import why wouldn’t it have an age specific plate?

Surely if it was newly registered there'd be no MOT, unless I'm missing an odd exemption to the rule?

Some of the 110 Landies that have enough seats that they are officially minibuses so have to have MoTs at 1 year old.

Although this one might have had to have an MoT when imported.

That's odd. VRM checks out on the .gov MOT checker. Irish import, but how come it's been assigned a 70 plate ?
