Want a hot hatch, but left hand drive UK - Spain move

We are going to relocate to spain soon, so want to buy a LHD car and move with it.

What options i have?
- Hardly any LHD cars are sold in the UK.
- used car market does not seem to be any good in Spain
- and don't want to import a car from EU just to re-export it in the next 3-9 months

ideas?

my first choice would be a BMW M140i - great engine, straight six, good noise, practical, RWD. One to get one before it too late.

Hardly anyone for sale in Spain, but plenty in Germany.

Does anyone know if i can buy a car in Germany? or you have to be resident there?
