Would you trade a E46 M3 and C Class for a C63

My current temptation is a 2011+ C63 AMG Estate.

The current daily is a 2011 C350 CDI, with a E46 M3 as a weekend car.

I am thinking if i trade both these cars in then i could afford to buy the C63.

Would this be a recommenced move, as it combine the two cars into one?

Just working out/justifying selling two cars to only by one. (I.E is the C63 worth double the C350, and same for the E46)

I personally would, but i just prefer having one car that covers as many bases as possible. It's all compromise either way you look at it really, but I'd be more than happy with a C63 as my only car, so long as i could afford to own and run it. Others prefer to have several cars for different purposes though.

It's seems like a decent 2 car set-up you have!

I wouldn’t for what’s essentially the same car as one of those you already have. 95% of the time the C350 will feel the same as the C63 but cost much more.

I’d do it for something a bit more special though.

Yeh I do struggle as to what to replace them with, usually ends up with me thinking about it and then spinning around not knowing and doing nothing .

This thought has run through my head....not sure what else could be a contender, looked at Panamera's but didn't tickle my pickle.

Kind of need an estate, Toddler, dog, mountain bike etc

For a while, about 10 or more years ago, I had access to a BMW 535D and an M5. In 90% of circumstances, there was nothing to choose between them. If anything, the D was better suited to the journey.

I like a 350cdi but it's far from the same car also the C63 is one of those cars that feels special at low speed too & you don't get that with a 350cdi.

Test drive one to see what I mean.

I personally wouldn't. A few years ago I swapped my 520d touring(daily) and Z4M Roadster(weekender) for a E92 M3 hoping that it would be a do it all car. There isn't such a thing as a do it all car though for me(as I harshly found out!). So I much prefer the 2(or more) approach now for sure.

I have just got a facelift W204 C63 and it is just awesome.

As another poster said it feels special constantly in a way a 3.0 diesel never does (I had a mapped F30 330d beforehand).

For me the opportunity to drive around in a 6.2 V8 was fading away if I didn’t get one soon and I don’t regret it at all.

They drive really really well too. I expected it to just feel like a standard saloon with a large engine but it doesn’t it feels sharp and exciting whilst still being comfortable and well damped.

It is a truly great car.

Don't bother, you have an E46 M3, which is still the best M3 made for having fun on the roads, and a C350 estate which is a great family car.

The C63 is not as fun as the M3 imho, and will probably annoy you are sticking £75 in it every 250 miles.

The C63 makes sense when you really can only have one car.

Spoke to a dealer and got a trade value for both cars

M3 = £9,500.00
Merc = £5,500.00
Total = £15,000.00

C63 Circa £24,000.00

So looking at getting rid of 2 good cars and putting and extra 9k in..........don't think in my best maths mode I can make logic of that.

Sounds like they're low-balling you on both cars there! I'm pretty sure you could get a fair bit more for both if you put them up privately. Obviously, that's a bit of hassle in itself and depends on the condition of them.
