Mk8 Golf Gti and R pcp deals

Hi all

I remember at the last launch of the mk7 gti and r there were many pcp deals around with stupidly low prices per month. Anyone point me in the right direction this time around?

Have seen a few lease deals but would rather have pcp and keep my options open for the end of the term

The only place you’re going to get a PCP deal from is your VW dealer, and the finance is set by VWFS, so isn’t different from dealer to dealer. All you’ll get is a slightly different discount. To be honest, VW are never particularly strong on PCP (especially compared to BMW), and I don’t recall that being any different on the MK7. Lease deals on the other hand...

I think the great deals you mention were likely PCH, not PCPs. Thus follow the best lease deals thread....

Those original deals were many, many years ago when cars were cheaper but have gone down in history as some of the best ever. However, a friend leased the VW SUV-thing ‘R’ recently on a very low cost deal but I doubt we’ll see too much on the Golf R. Factory production must be very slow at the moment and so VW aren’t worried about big stockpiles of them and the model is well established. That’s not to say they won’t do cheap deals but they’ll be lease ones so keep and eye on there.

That deal appeared and sold out in 48 hours, 1 week later mk7.5 golfs were announced.

Thise lease deals are long gone and deals are mostly had on outgoing models.
