I like the E coupe, am I missing any others ? Budget is around 30 grand, looking at up to three years old, no diesels as do 10k miles a year in a regular non-covid year and hate hybrids or BEVs. I see the new model is coming out so the prices of these used look good to me.

Am used to driving around 300 bhp and love the easy overtaking. That said I can get a 2019 E300 with 245bhp or a 2017 E400. I know more power is usually better but I am inclined to go for the newer car, year old is ideal however is 245bhp enough for effortless overtaking in a two tonne cruiser? With the stupid model naming I believe the E300 = 2 litres and the E400 = 3 litres.

Many thanks for any advice.

The E400 is the same drivetrain (minus the AWD) as the C/E43 & is the pick for me:

The 300 is okay but there are times when you really have to work it to get a lick on.

Now if you want effortless overtakes & cruising lookout for one of these:

Useful info, many thanks.

May steer clear of Infiniti as they are leaving Europe. Shame as I quite liked them.

They've left, but that's actually worked out better because now you have access to way more services centers, personally I think Nissan should've done this in the first place.

Do you need the extra size of the E Class?

A C300 is around 200kgs lighter and having had mine for 18 months I find it pretty nimble.

I traded my W212 E Class against the W204 C300 as the dimensions are very similar whereas the new E Class is bigger again.

I’ve got a E300 Coupe, and don’t find it feels slow at all. The engine sounds pretty good for a 4 cylinder, but not as good as a six cylinder like you get with the E400.

I would try to seek out a car with the double LCD dash, it really enhances the interior.

The E300 is brilliant get the dual digital dash. Put in sport plus and the throttle is instant. Not had anyone go past me if I didn’t want them to. It sounds good too as it has the sport exhaust as standard, sounds as good as an S5 for me.
