Car disappearing from auction site.

Was all geared up for a trader friend to bid on a car for me which was being sold at BCA. The auction was due to take place on Monday.

This evening, the car has disappeared from the listing. He reckons it might not have been delivered to the auction house in time so they might relist at a later date or it might have sold outside of the auction.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Sometimes listings I have been tracking have disappeared and then shown up again a few days later, usually with more photos added.
Which vendor’s sale was it in?

It was an Audi being sold by Lookers.

Yes my pal said it might pop up again in a different sale a week or so later. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

Possibly not collected in time like you say, or maybe removed from sale as the dealer has sold elsewhere.

It was at BCA Blackbushe.

Lots of reasons but likely.

- Issue with paperwork eg V5 not arrived or has been put on stocking finance and not cleared.
- If it’s a newer car it might have been sold within group and going to another Lookers dealership.

Chances are you will see it relisted.

Just an update to this.

The car popped up at a dealer in Northern Ireland. It was a 2014 Audi S8.

Went up for sale for £22900 and sold within days. I was willing to bid up to £21k for that car. I wonder why they paid for it given it never went to auction.

just bidding now on a defender ,bid 18k , next move , disappeared, bit of unfair manipulation here i think....
