7 Seater Petrol Car
Discussion
Hi,
I am planning to buy a 7 seater petrol car, Used, around 11,000 GBP.
Please suggest me a good car, It is bit difficult to find 7 Seater petrol in Market.
FYI, My annual mileage is around 6000 miles, thats why I preferred for a petrol car and also my office is near by to my home.
thanks.

What sort of car is your preference, do you want a people carrier or a car that you would also enjoy when you are by yourself...
personally I would seek out one of the higher powered petrol volvo's, rear seats usually fold flat when not needed so good for tip run's etc which you don't get with people carriers.
or this V8 xc90

Below are some things that are just for fun... have 7 seat, petrol and leave room in your budget

Arguably the best 7 seater on the market to the average man, and an economical 1.6t ecoboost engine. And well in budget.

S Max is probably the best in class, however I've recently pruchased a Mazda 5 for the wife and very good it is. This is a 2010 car with the 2 litre petrol, climate, 6 disc changer, cruise, aux in, electric sliding doors both sides, leather. It drives very nicely for a big bus, handles ok for the size and returned 38mpg on a trip from Derbyshire to Tenby with my wife and I, 3 kids and a car loaded with a weeks luggage. Would highly recommend one, if just for the sliding doors which make loading up kids a breeze in carparks. 11k should get you a very highly spec'd 2 year old one I'd imagine.
In comparison, when my previous Mondeo ate it's turbo, the supplying garage who fixed it under warranty provided me with a 1 year old Zafria 1.6 petrol as we were due to go on holiday that week. The same journey in that car was much worse, with a gutless engine that had 5 gears resulting in a droning engine revving high at 70mph. It also drank fuel and handled like you'd expect a people carrier to handle. It was a bit bigger though with a better seat folding/removal idea for the rear 2.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have found below Mazda 5 Sports venture from private seller, which is in my budget.
But is that safe to buy a vehicle from Private seller ?

I am very much happy to buy Toyota Prius + even if it is 1k more, it is one of the stylish 7 seater I have seen. Only thing stops me is Hybrid technology, since it is new technology i am afraid if something happens it costs you more to repair it.
As another poster said, hybrids are a favourite of taxi drivers. They use them because they are very reliable and they are good for short journeys. In my view they are more reliable than most conventional cars. The technology has been around for around 15 years so I think you should have no worries about reliability. I think it could be a good fit for your needs.
I'd say a Mazda5 in Sport Venture trim is a good option:

Only thing to be aware of on the Mazda is wishbone bushes, they don't last long and result in bad knocking over rough surfaces. If you Google it you'll see so many topics on various forums about bushes being shot on relatively new cars. Ours is a 2010 and I bought it private where the seller was desperate to get rid due to knocking. The bushes were dangerously shot on it so I bought it very cheap (3k) and drove it to a garage to get it serviced and sorted. Had no other problems to report though since, very reliable car and sharp handling for a big bus.

The New Zafira tourer 1.4 TSi, it has much more torque. But i am not sure how it perform on motorway when fully loaded.
GF's family has one Absolutely gutless when more than half loaded - her dad found the older model 1.7 diesel (he had 2 of them before) far better - not enough torque to move the bus around.
I'd second the prius +
