The car has an MOT. They have done what they said they would.

It is not reasonable to expect advisories to be addressed - they are advisory notes about the condition of the car, in the opinion of that specific tester. They are not requirements.

Depending how old the car is, I would be delighted to be given just a single advisory!

ETA: if it is a three year old Bentley, maybe you should expect a clear MOT. If it is an 8 year old Fiesta, you certainly should not.

what is the advisory?

Advisories are very much at the whim of the tester, and some are not really about the car at all, just arse-covering exercises, or to show they have been paying attention.

That's all?

Are they even visible through the wheel?

That's one of the most useless MoT advisories ever, it could mean almost anything from a bit worn to borderline knackered. If you're worried just get them checked.

Brake pads are consumable items, very unlikely a dealer would be bothered to get them changed just off the back of an advisory and they wouldn't have to do it before selling the car.

Sounds like you have a good car and the dealer was honourable in doing the MOT.

When they do need to be done, Focus brake pads I imagine are quite inexpensive.

Hey I haven't named the dealer nor have I slagged the dealer off. I'm more then happy with their service I was just asking a simple question which I'm happy with the replies. I won't be taking this any further

Can I just add I am more then happy with the service I received from the dealer and that in no way I was slagging them off, it was just a simple question

No problem. The dealer's been reasonable. You weren't sure what was reasonable, so wisely asked.

Reasonable responses were given. Your response to the responses has been reasonable.

We're nothing if not reasonable all round. PH delivers!

That's a bit unreasonable.

It's one of those pointless things like plastic under trays obscuring components.

If they looked like they needed replacing then we would, but if you could see 4mm of pad I would say they are serviceable
