Hi. Looking for a good looking 2 door coupe with 15k budget. Needs to be reliable enough for 12k per year. 2 seats ok.
Have a German car specialist nearby I've been using to service my existing BMW e46 330ci sport with 204k on it.
Fuel economy not as important as a fun, involving drive.
Suggestions?

A Cayman would be the obvious choice.

Z4m, cayman s or gt86, personally I would pick the z4m on looks alone, stunning looking cars.

I'm pretty sure I saw some on AT, may have been 25k though biggrin

Edit: yes it was 25, the cheapest on ebay now is 27

For fun I agree that the meganne 265 in you budget is one to consider and probably a cheap car to own in terms of depreciation.

Focus RS if you can get a mk2 within your budget or stretch a little I think is a smarter buy still.

Personally I'd say if your working to a tight budget avoid anything like an ageing German , they'll cost heaps on maintenance potentially .

+1 for Megane RS.

Surprisingly well put together, and the entire driving experience is VERY addictive.

That's a load of car for the cash but not sure id want to foot the bill for running it. That said it depends on exactly what the OP wants the car for

Could go for the 4.2 instead and save a few quid for an emergency fund...but you'd lose a good few bhp and gain a Ford Cortina-style aerial!
