I never thought I would do one of these.

After years of diesel estates I feel the need for petrol.

Mercedes has been the favourite for years, current, CLS 350d

The question is, "should I consider a move and look at other suppliers?"

Thinking A6 Avant 5.2

M5 touring 5.0

E- class estate 55 or 63

Petrol is down on torque or is it? Wonder if I am affected by diesels now. Toureg has been discounted as it is diesel but am I also missing something? It is not a car though and I don't want excessive body roll.

Thoughts please

Some of my friends owned Touareg's and they say is very unreliable. I'd go for the A6, true beasts and the ABT version has got like 700 HP biggrin

Whatever the M5 V10 lacks in torque it makes up for with a searing top end. Gearbox might be an issue though.

The E Class/CLS63 Shooting Brake has 531 lbft of torque or 577 lbft if you get the S version your CLS has 355 lbft so you won't feel a lack of low down grunt. biggrin
