Renault Clio 1.6 VVT GT 3dr
Discussion
Really can't find much on the internet about this car so really hoping someone can enlighten me...
Basically looking at buying this car as I have around 5k, and this will give me enough for insurance and to pay for any repairs etc (as well as my monthly income). This seems like my best option, and although it's French I'm prepared to spend a little extra on repairs rather than pay and extra 2k to get like a golf or something.
So yeah just opinions, does it really need that many repairs etc...
This is an example of the car I'm looking at:

Good fun little car.
The 1.6 is the same one fitted to the Megane/scenic etc before the Clio but tweaked to 128bhp for the Clio GT.
Interior is similar to the RS models too.
That generation Clio is orettu bulletproof, the odd window regulator and coil packs on the 1.6 can be tempermental.
The Malta blue colour that's available is nice, is oick that over black.
You can also get these with the 1.5dci 106 which is a great torquey diesel!

Coil packs, other than that pretty tough. Not the nicest feeling interior in terms of plastics quality but tough enough. Good fun to drive although not actually particularly quick. It's a nice little warm hatch, looks the part too.
My wife had one for a while and absolutely loved it, put a grin on my face when I got to drive it. She'd probably still have it now had some berk in a van not written it off by rear-ending it in a traffic queue.
