Hello everyone, I got some great advice on here years ago which has seen me enjoy 4 years of an A6 auto saloon, which is now 8 years old. I'm 6'3" and although the A6 is really comfortable, I want something with a more upright driving position and better stuff carrying capacity (the boot aperture in the A6 is surprisingly limiting).
I was in an Audi garage the other day and sat in both the Q7 and Q5 and was surprised at how they didn't actually feel that spacious in the drivers seat. The Q7 felt weirdly smaller than the Q5 - although both had all black interior which I guess doesn't help.
I know this is a bit general and I've not given any budget or not even started on lease vs buy, just looking for good pointers to start looking in terms of make/models. Much appreciated.

Our Ford S-Max was great in that respect (we also have an A6 Avant). Plenty of room inside, a decent upright driving position, and it felt more nimble and car-like to drive than most of the 4x4’s my wife and I tried. Now that we’ve sold it we’ve realised just how good a family car it was so I think we might end up replacing the A6 next year with a 4x4 version of the new S-Max.

Thanks - I like the look of the Mercedes, hadn't really considered them tbh. S-Max not for me - we have no kids no need for all those seats smile

Volvo XC90

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Both might depreciate so would be better on a lease

Jaguar F-Pace

Toyota Land Cruiser

New Skoda Kodiaq

Now I do love the look of the F-Pace, there's one near us and it looks very smart.
I think I'll wait until I get to see the new Skoda, it could be just the job.

What about the Skoda Yeti? I see lots of people on here really rate it. Any thoughts - they look pretty roomy.

Whats your budget, there are loads of options at all sorts of price brackets, although it sounds like an F-pace or a Maserati Levante might be interesting choices

VW Transporter or other van? Probably not to your liking but I find my T4 transporter pretty useful and fine as day to day transport.

Budget - max would be £400 per month on a personal lease but preferably less than that. It obviously rules out f-pace etc hence my sudden interest in the Yeti
I basically changed my mind since original post and although still have same requirements for headroom etc I'm going to get something more basic for a couple of years before I go for something fancy.

If leasing something of lower spec also look at the VW tiguan - some cracking deals on those recently

Thank you, I'll go this weekend and look at both of those. Any lease companies in particular you recommend for Tiguan?
