Yet another spec me a car thread

On the way to work today my car (an '06 Toyota Prius) gave me the red triangle of death so I'm looking for a used approved upgrade. Here are my purchase criteria, in order of importance:

1. Has to be less than £10,000.
2. Has to be on finance (ideally I'd like to take advantage of one of the 0% deals about).
3. Has to be economical, because I drive around 12,000 miles a year out of my own pocket.
4. Has to be reliable.
5. I don't care if it's manual or automatic but it has to be nippier than a Prius (which isn't saying much).
6. I prefer spacious cars, so a decent sized estate would be good.

Does it have to be new because 0% finance on used doesn't exist as far as I've seen unless you can know different.

Second hand then one of these will be a decent reliable car.
