Hi all,
Having recently tested and disliked an Infiniti QX70 I’m now considering a Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary or an Overland, been offered either one for 40k, so a good 12% or so off and have a test drive booked for this weekend. Just wandering what peoples thoughts are from any owners out there and if this is a decent deal or not? What are they like as an ownership prospect and anything better I should consider instead? Looked at the F-Pace but to spec it the same as the Jeep it’s a LOT more expensive.

I've had a couple of previous models, loved them and they were 100% reliable.

The latest one, by all accounts, is meant to be a very good car. I had a brief drive of the Overland when the new one came out and it was great. If I was in this market, it would start as the favourite and others would have to impress to knock it off the top spot. Very good value.

i regret not buying one, but the wife found the seats extremely uncomfy (they are somewhat unsupportive).

Otherwise a very very good machine- personally i would look at CarWOW (i think i had quotes at £37k) or nearly new- i seem to remember motorpoint had a few a £31k with less than 6 months on them!

Thanks both. I placed a deposit yesterday on a 6 month old ex demo overland. I had some good offers on new (40k for the 75th anniversary) but end of the day several grand for the sake of 6 months can't be overlooked. It also has the advanced safety pack, so the radar cruise and blind spot detectors. All in all happy with the deal. Looking on the classifieds there are a couple ever so slightly cheaper but this one is mint and the others didn't have the optional cruise. Can't wait to pick it up now.
