Stupid purchases we make/ consider. Why?

I currently have 2 speedboats on my drive, bought at good prices, had fun in them, but they weren't needed, and I wasn't looking for a boat. Or 2.

I see something and it stays in my head.
Like this, a 2015 ghost s2 for €80,000.

The fact that it has sat in flood water for god knows how long gets swept aside by my brain. If I concentrate I can imagine 5 minutes of fun followed by many months of bills.

Is it just me, or do other people do things like this? Not exactly stupid things, but not particularly well thought out. I think I'm like a magpie, anything shiny....

What's your biggest "accidental" purchase??
