Whilst the search continues to replace my tuscan... I was wondering which other cars petrol heads considered as Must owns for whatever reason. Only criteria is <30k. Can be 500, 5000 dont mind but <30k

Dont forget to justify why its a must have/unique experience.

Lotus, for the feel...
MX5, modern british sports car, has to be owned for 6 months even if you move on.
Air cooled Pork. Great cars obviously. and the sound of a flat 6. OK you're now into water cooled prices. But don't get a fat boy new one.
Busso. Again, even if for just 6 months.
A Jag I6 of some sort. Engine and ride.

The 6.2 Mercedes V8 for the violence of it & depending on what vehicle you chose then the fun that can be had with them is not to be underestimated.

Nissan R34 GT-R because of the grin it puts on your face when you realise you actually have to drive the thing plus the fact that you have 600bhp to tame too.

Tuned Toyota Supra 3.0TT just so driveable & the ability to cover ground well (it's on my list of cars to buy & put away)

I know you said cars but this bike needs a special mention.

2005 ZX10R Kawasaki the sheer fear as you snicked into 4th gear & getting a tankslapper as you did so eek
but then the joy as you start to exploit the power & chassis (all this after you've changed your boxers) biggrin

I'd add the following to this list:
Caterham, preferably with a high reving engine
Something with a big V8, a VRX8 would be well within budget
One of the Renault Cups
M3

Atom 300. As close to a bike with 4 wheels you will get and not an easy balanced car to drive hard either!

No windscreen and no helmet may upset some but it was part of the thrill imo

Not yet as depreciation hasn't hit them that hard, but it will drop below £30k soon for a Jaguar F-Type. Just over at £35k for cheapest example now.
