You've £1K deposit and 500 a month .. go
Discussion
So, you want a new car, you have £1K as a deposit, and you can spend up to @£500 a month.
You're happy with PCP, over 48 months. You're quite happy to spend £500 a month on a car, you can afford it, you work hard, don't smoke/drink and enjoy having a nice car on the driveway.
Rules:
You don't give a rats ass about the pros and cons of PCP, you don't want told it's the worst way to finance a car etc. etc. you don't want advice like 'put it into your mortgage', 'oooh what a waste of money' etc. It's my money and I'll do what I want with it thank you very much. I won't pass judgment on your life decisions.
You've absolutely no interest in being told or given an opinion about finance etc. you want to phone a dealer, say you've £1k deposit, you want PCP over 48 months and you're budget is £500 a month.
You don't want a used car. New or nearly new, pre-registered is fine.
You're not that fussed about options on the car, it's the drive that matters.
You do around 5,000 miles a year.
You don't mind if it's rear wheel drive, 4WD or front wheel drive
It should be able to seat 4 people.
More rules, the engine will not, under any circumstances be a blown 4 pot or anything smaller than a 3.0
What I've found so far that's just about do-able:
BMW 340i manual
BMW 535d auto
Subaru WRX STi
Go ....
Let's see how long it takes before someone suggests a used BMW M3, or tells me I'm stupid to be effectively renting a car for £6K a year

Mustang V8 on Ford Options comes out with @£620 a month for a car with no options so that's no use, it is however the best reply so far ..
So that's one for the grammar police, one suggestion I specifically didn't ask for (when is £1k in the bank and a £500 shed a 'new' car), and one almost useful reply ..
Hmmmm, maybe this thread will not be as useful as I thought .. lol

Maybe because you phrased it in the most stupid way possible. Just post a "what car thread" - don't try and hide that's exactly what you're asking. None of this "in my shoes bks" - post your budget, requirements and ask for a car. "One almost useful reply" from somebody that actually tried to help. I'll use your favourite word;So that's one for the grammar police, one suggestion I specifically didn't ask for (when is £1k in the bank and a £500 shed a 'new' car), and one almost useful reply ..

YOU'RE a five letter word beginning with P and ending in rick.

You should be able to get the V8 Mustang for that? Does depend on how big the people are who will be sitting in the back though.
Great shout with the mustang How about a Mercedes C63S coupe or saloon?
Not sure if in budget but i'd also look at:
Maserati Ghilbi (in blue with tan leather)
Range Rover Sport
Porsche Macan
640d Grand Coupe
Awe crap, I guess I was thinking 2.0 blown 4 pot, so a Scooby at 2.5 was allowed ..
I won't reduce myself to getting into name calling with other posters, I can't say I find it helpful, I thought with a modicum of sense, my post, although perhaps not to your own grammar standards, was reasonably clear. Maybe you didn't like how it was written. I'm sure I'm free to write it how I want to though, being a free country and my thread. Not sure being called a p***k was justified, however each to their own. Have a nice life, thankfully without me in it.
M240i isn't a bad shout, much prefer the look of the 340i mind you.
I don't want to contract hire although a 550i is interesting. A 370z has 2 seats.
Pretty sure Mercedes C63, Macan, RR Sport, 640 GC are all way over budget unless someone can show me otherwise.

Not a single one of those would be anywhere near £500 a month with £1k down haha.

come on,YOU'RE a five letter word beginning with P and ending in rick.
it was clear what he was asking for, suggestions based on the criteria he mentioned.
you're busting his balls as if he's a stuttering, shy Amstrad employee asking Alan Sugar for a wage rise...
