talk me out of this - lexus ls430
Discussion
i'm looking to sell the turbo mx5, i'm going to sorn the other mx5 and i cant rely on the bmw (welded diff etc) so i need something to keep me on the road over the winter. this nice lexus is up for sale near me and at that price it seems like a bargain but i have the feeling it will leave me regretting it in when something goes wrong...
i dont know much about them, anyone had one before? what should i look out for when viewing it?

i only really want to keep it for 6 months or so. the mot is till april and from the history check it seems like it's passed with no issues the last few years. is there anything out of the ordinary checks i should do when i go to view it? (e.g. mx5s are known to rust round the sills so always need a good inspection)
how bad are they on fuel? does the price seem about right for the age/mileage of the car on gumtree?

The main foible on these is the air suspension, and that one doesn't look like it's sitting quite right.
To be fair the system can be ripped out and replaced with conventional suspension for sensible money if the rest of the car is good.
how can i tell if the suspension is shot?To be fair the system can be ripped out and replaced with conventional suspension for sensible money if the rest of the car is good.
