What to buy - another one....
Discussion
Seen a few of these aroundbut thought I'd add to the list seeing as I just can't make my mind up! So budget around 10k, not many commuter miles needed, want something interesting/fun but doesn't have to be all out speed. Ideally moderate practicality but not exactly needing an estate. Main issue is insurance being still 'young' (30) but living in a northern city with a reputation means quotes can quickly become eye-watering.
Currently driving a diesel 1.4 Polo....
To that end these are things I've been considering:
Alfa Romeo Brera (Test drove a V6 S love the looks, loved the pull of the V6)
Ford Focus/Festia ST (maybe a bit too boy racer for me - prefare things understated)
Land Rover Defender 90 (Always loved these, maybe off roading is the hobby for me....)
MGB GT (love the classic looks and a bit of chrome, family of mechanics I feel will be called on)
BMW Z4 coupe/Audi TT/SLK (all seem to hit hard on the insurance)
All in all I still dunno what to get in an ideal world probably more than one but lack of garage/cash buts that idea to bed.
Anyone with suggestions or covincing me one of the above is a good idea would be great!

Here are some options:
2009 CLK200 Sport 39k FMSH 184bhp Insurance friendly whilst still having decent pace

If you want understated how about one of these:
2008 Passat CC 3.6 DSG 18k FSH 300bhp (plus these are cheaper to insure than a R32 Golf)
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
Also as cool as the Bera is unless it's a Prodrive version look elsewhere but if you want to go down the Alfa route why not get a modern classic in the form of one of these:
2004 Alfa 147 GTA 62k FSH (get an agreed value policy & you won't go far wrong)

Oe a stealthy Audi S4
