Discussion
I hope this is in the right place so please move if not...
I am 26 living at home as cheaper
Ok so I have been driving for 5 years (Auto Licence past test march 2011) I got told to do that first then manual test if i want (Once I have been driving for awhile)
1st Car Peugeot 205 white 5 door 1989 (Used it to learn to drive in when not having lessons)
2nd Car Vauxhall Corsa 5 door black 2003
3rd car Mitsubishi Colt Silver 5 Door 2010
Shared all those cars with my mum as was cheaper but want my own car now..
I want something that's cheap to run/insure looks sporty/sexy alloy wheels Black/stylish if possible if not will get my own, also cheap to fix if it goes wrong...
My budget is £0-£10,000
Cars I have seen/liked within my budget
all 3 doors will include insurance/cost of car price range
Golf GTi 2005-2008 (£2,500-£9,500) (£650-£900 a year)
Golf GTi 2009-2010 (£9,000-£10,000) (£800-£1,200 a year)
Golf GTD 2009-2010 (£7,500-£10,000) (£700-£1,000 a year)
Polo GTi 2010-2012 £7,500-£10,000) (£600-£900 a year)
Seat Ibiza 1.4 TSI Cupra Sport Coupe 2011-2014 (£5,500-£10,000) (£600-£800 a year)
Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SRi VX-Line 2013-2015 (£7,000-£9,000) (£700-£900 a year)
so what do you guys recommend?? or is there other cars out there that might fit the bill...
Don't wanna pay for something that is to expensive to run/insure
Don't wanna do finance etc just wanna pay outright

Don't see anything wrong with living at home if you/your parents are both happy? Mind you, if it affords you the chance of owning a decent car, why not go for something a little less mundane than an old diesel Golf? I'm not talking about a German super saloon but maybe something a bit more left field and stylish? An Alfa or a modern classic of some sort?
Cool, low mileage SAAB?

106 Rallye?

A bit of rear wheel drive?

You shouldn't suffer depreciation with cars like these either.

if my budget was 10k i'd be looking at a older evo or wrx sti if i wanted the fastest , if i wanted better handling i'd look at a boxster or one or a megane r 26 r.

That looks nice but one of the pics is inside of a Subaru...
I did see this car I like http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016... only con is 3.4 hours drive from me could be longer
Car has gotta be automatic no manual's
1.2 1.4 1.6 1.8 2 litre engine is what I am going for any higher will be to expensive for me

It is a subaru , for 10k your going to find it hard to go faster than a sti or evo.I did see this car I like http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016... only con is 3.4 hours drive from me could be longer

How come your listing the 1.4 cupra's ?
For your budget you could get a cupra r http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R-2...
Sorry just read automatic only , in that case i'd look at a big powerful volvo, bmw maybe saab , it may not look sporty but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not fast.

Could do but thats 5 door & most seat Leons are to expensive for me
i guess the tricky bit is do companies actually make any sporty hot hatches that are automatics ? in comparison there are loads of big barges with auto gearboxes and i bet there 0-60 times would surprise you.
they may have 5 doors , they may look boring but they don't have to be slow.
