Happy Friday. In all the flurry of barge buying I forgot to post the half-year report. It's not great, chaps.

I do still pop in occasionally, so perhaps my Jag XFR purchase could count!

At least in the spirit of thread, 4 door barge, now 556bhp for £11k (plus £300).

556bhp?!

It looks so sensible.

Delivered by supercharger - that must be beautiful to drive.

Yes no one has any idea! Just looks like a cheap diesel jag XF.

The M3 attracts young lads on bikes with baseball caps. This: nothing! Amusing to hustle as well.

To spice up the thread - I have a new car incoming tomorrow. Not a barge but will be the tender to my barge.

1. Never driven one - check
2. First one I went to look at - check
3. High potential for bork - check

Picking up tomorrow morning.
Well?

For a moment I thought this meant your wife has discovered she's pregnant.

I felt like st and thought it could be Covid. I did a test as I had some tests at home and the advert started with:

‘My wife bought this car for me in 2019 , just before covid , sadly i lost my wife to covid and cannot bring mysef to drive the car now’

I thought it best not to take covid into his home

Is that ok?

OK Mercedes Beards, tell me about 2008 SLK 280 Auto. I'm aware of the subframe issues but it's low miles and has no corrosion on MOT history. What am I looking for, how is this engine and box?

Check all the electrics and and soft close. Check for damp A and C pillars (sunroof cassette rot) though the dry weather won't help that test. Springs can snap but you'd never know from driving it.

Engine and gearbox are pretty robust if regularly serviced. We look forward to the forecourt shot.
Thank you. I will let the forum know how I get on!

Rob
As an update, nothing has (sadly) come of this as the seller is ignoring the couple of emails I’ve sent him. Onto something else I think.

Thanks
