Battery tender connector in the boot - a mark that it's been owned by someone who wants to look after it? Or simply shoved in the boot power socket and forgotten about by the person taking the pics?

A proper Bentley though... Six and three quarters V8, with peak BHP at such ridiculously low RPMs you can't help but wonder what it would be producing as an 8,000 rpm screamer.

New L322 on AT.
Correct 4.2 S-C engine but 1 BCA pic and Greenford dealer has my Spidey senses tingling.
Miles highish but it is '06 so no big surprise, if it's a good 'un at mid-thread seems ok.
AT tax calculator says £415 and gov.uk site just says Mar'06. You'd hope AT tool was correct in the background but worth a check on exact date of reg.

Previous fails on CV boots, tyres, brakes, more seriously - front suspension, oil & coolant leak, but these do not recur so either fixed or friendly MOTer. Current advisories (Oct'23), brake pipe corrosion all round and tyres.

To threadists - how do you do that thing where the picture is actually a link to an advert - can only work out how to link to a pic not an ad i.e.url ?

I sort of like that over the usual finding a bit of gravel somewhere. The boss has turned up on site to find out why things are running behind schedule. And being a Bentley owner/driver with no qualms about what anyone might think of the colour they order their car in, it's going to be a "direct and frank" discussion.

True but would the Bentley driver be getting his hands dirty, or sending a man in a drugged out Q7 or a black RR (Sport?) ?

I like the Bentley. It's not a T-shirt I'd want again maintenance cost wise, but that's very tempting.

I've always loved the Arnage and that is one of the best i've seen!

They are dropping in price to the point i try to make the best man-maths calculations about running one as a daily.

And then i remember the purchase price is just the entry point to a world of potential pain!

A diesel driving devil speaks:
But, but, but - Could you buy it, run it for a year [just paying VED, insurance and petrol], then sell it for about £20K...
The drop in price of about £5K would be similar to the annual cost of a PCP on a much less appealing car...

The example above looks lovely, I believe it was sold by MTSV to the current owner, they have a great reputation.

I said I wouldn't say much more about my recent aquisition, but... note to all, check tyre pressures!

Recommended PSI are 30 front, 33 rear...

FNS 33.5
FOS 45.5
RNS 36.5
ROS 34.5

That front offside could've quite easily let go.

I don't need to post everything on two threads in separate categories with different audiences? wink

High tyre pressure on one front wheel was an old ruse to hide a car that pulled to one side.
