lexus IS-F thoughts?? or Audi RS4???
Discussion
I'd rank the usual suspects in the following order.
IS-F ~ Different, fantastic noise, great reports from owners
M3 Saloon ~ Another fantastic engine, and I've never regretted any of my other M3s
Merc C63 ~ Bit of a NASCAR noise for amusement, but can't see me enjoying it as much on track
Audi RS4 V8 ~ Beautiful car with timeless good looks, albeit the same as all the TDis. I don't need AWD.
Jag XF-R ~ Wonderful way to cover miles, but I'm too young for a Jag and would feel wrong being a hooligan.
I'd add the V10 M5 to the list, as well as the Quattroporte.

All the German cars are safe bets & a known quantity. The Lexus, IMO, tries too hard to be "sporting" like them, and therefore has a bit of an identity issue. I suspect easier to sell on any of the German cars.IS-F ~ Different, fantastic noise, great reports from owners

Well so far so good with the isf.
Not done to much driving but I'm very impressed with the gearbox and fuel economy for a 5L V8!! So far it's at 24.8mpg but I've not really had much chance to thrash it
ha..
Sound system is superb and radar cruise is awesome.
Have you seriously now posted that three times this week? Not done to much driving but I'm very impressed with the gearbox and fuel economy for a 5L V8!! So far it's at 24.8mpg but I've not really had much chance to thrash it

Recently drove the C63(on upgraded 19" wheels) and ISF(2008), the ride on the C63 to my surprise was much better, the ISF was annoyingly hard. IS-F ~ Different, fantastic noise, great reports from owners

The ISF is very docile until you get up the rev range where it does sound good. However, the sound from the C63 put's a grin on your face whenever you touch the loud pedal. Found the C63 a much better drive as well, it is also bigger on the inside, has 5 seats and a decent sized boot. Given the choice I'd take the C63( even though I really wanted to like the ISF).
Agreed if you wanted to track the car then it's the M3, but I ain't a driving god and will never drive the car 10/10ths on public roads, so the C63 for me. It really was much more than I expected it to be.
