Any Tucson deals about? Seem to be relatively well priced but not sure if any better about!
Never thought I’d go for a Tucson but reviews seem strong. 2 years would do me fine then hopefully market settles down a bit.
Any Tucson experience would be good! Tom
I'm picking mine up later this morning, Tucson Hybrid Premium. I'll keep you posted once I've got it. I'm paying £2100 initial, £351 per month for 3 years with 13k miles per annum. Never thought I’d go for a Tucson but reviews seem strong. 2 years would do me fine then hopefully market settles down a bit.

I never thought I'd have one but after numerous failed orders with JLR and Volvo it's a case of what I can get. The new one really is a massive step up over the previous one.

My pal has a Rav 4 in the uban khaki and I think it looks great. He's very happy with his, not sure what spec it is but it's a nice car from the brief trip I had in it.
Personally I think that is one ugly color hahaAlthough the 'primer grey' on the corolla's is even worse lol
I had RAV4 Design 2wd (current model) for the 2 years and done 18k miles in it. My calculated mpg is 47, with lots of motorway and short trips.
Mine was solid white (was free at the time). It has gone back to ZEN auto and I ordered the 2wd Excel from Arnold Clark in September (Decuma Grey and removable towbar). Design was £307 pm, Excel will be £327 pm, over three years and 8000 miles pa. Get the rubber boot liner from e-bay. You can delay Toyota service for up to 30 days or 1000 miles. So over three years, only two services. If you never drove a hybrid Toyota before, it will take a few days to get use to it. I would recommend putting the car in eco mode (easier to control accelerator, without much loss in performance) and aircon in normal mode.

As pensions etc are being spoken about my work is just about to launch a car salary sacrifice scheme. Anyone care to explain how this impacts your pension company scheme and know if any calculator is available with a scheme they use. I have contributed 25 years already into the pension. No idea what the deals are so no idea if good enough but would like to understand more so I can ask relevant questions
It's pretty simple really.Employee and employer pension contributions will normally be a percentage of gross salary.
A salary sacrifice by definition is sacrificing some of your gross salary in exchange for a benefit.
That means your salary goes down and with it, so do your (employee and employer) pension contributions.
Most pension schemes these days are also salary sacrifice schemes meaning you don't pay any tax on those contributions.
Depending on your employer, you could choose to increase your employee pension contributions to a higher percentage (to counter-act the reduced contribution caused by sacrificing your salary for the car benefit).
However, if you've already at the maximum percentage for employer contribution (as most sane people are) there's no way to claw that back and so you will lose some of the benefit.
Ergo, you have to decide if the potential savings (from reduced tax and NI contributions) of a salary sacrifice outweigh the reduced employer pension contribution.

Perry’s leasing - 1.6 petrol Tucson - Premium trim
£288 per month
£288 deposit
8000 p/a
36 months
£198 fee
In Stock and metallic paint.
I know I could increase deposit but that is my preference.
If there is cheaper or better trim for same price please let me know! Otherwise about to go for it I think
For those interested in the Tucson’s, I’ve just filled in the paperwork for;
Tucson N Line 230 Auto
8k miles
3 months up front
£331 pcm
Includes choice of metallic paint
9p/mile excess
If you go direct to Hyundai Chesterfield you can avoid the £114 fee as well (I didn’t, annoyingly).
Edit - delivery timescales, small chance it could be January otherwise it’s likely to be Feb.

Feeling exactly the same - when you have had a good run on deals for years, it hurts when you are now unable to find anything vaguely decent! I got lucky with the 840GC deal and cant even get anything half as good for the price.
So agree with you. I feel quite despondent when people are suggesting a Rav for example (no disrespect to poster intended!!) but actually, he may be correct that i need to lower my expectations dramatically Busssie said:

so for all of us looking at the moment at SUV/Crossovers do we all agree that the Hyundai Tuscon is the nicest looking car out of all of them?
vs the rav 4 the peugeot 3008 citroen c5 aircross (crazy expensive now) nissan quashqai (just dull) etc etc
what are your thoughts as really need to start ordering soon as my c5 aircross gors back in January (they will let me extend for 3 months if needed)

Obviously it’s pretty subjective but I think so. I’m also after something the wife is happy to drive and she’s prefers it. RAV4 was the only other candidate. vs the rav 4 the peugeot 3008 citroen c5 aircross (crazy expensive now) nissan quashqai (just dull) etc etc

I've currently got in the household a 5008 and 2008 both on manufactures scheme with Peugeot, I'm considering sacking the 2008 off in favour of a Tuscon as the towing capacity on Peugeots is so low that any decent caravan is way over the towing weight (wife wants a caravan!! not best pleased but kids will like it!).vs the rav 4 the peugeot 3008 citroen c5 aircross (crazy expensive now) nissan quashqai (just dull) etc etc

Yep, choice of about 4 I think. Nope, no other options, I’ve never really bothered with any extras on leases.I’ve gone for Shimmering Silver, looks ok I think. Wasn’t particularly bothered on colour just so long as it wasn’t red.
