Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 10)
Discussion
For all of those who are telling me to pay into a pension:
I am 29, and have been paying into a pension from the age of 21. I literally moved into this new role 3m ago, so I have not made a contribution for 3months out of my 8 year work life.
I have just bought a house, and have had a child (and mrs has been on unpaid mat leave). Right now, I could do more with the money in my hand as opposed to pension. I will opt back into the scheme once I am on my feet again.

Just had our 6 & 12 month extension price along with the option to buy on our Octavia VRS through LeasePlan. Currently pay £243 a month on 3+23. 6months coming in at £228 a month 12 is £211. Buy it price £25700 2nd hand market really is mad.

You do realise you've listed a lot of other reasons not to splurge out on an expensive car don't you.I am 29, and have been paying into a pension from the age of 21. I literally moved into this new role 3m ago, so I have not made a contribution for 3months out of my 8 year work life.

If you aren’t going to comment on the deal I have mentioned, stop jumping on the ‘financial advisor’ bandwagon. I do not need financial advice, this isn’t money supermarket.

Hi,
I've been looking at an Audi S3 Sportback but have come across this.
Audi RS3 Sportback Quattro 400ps
£4021.29 upfront
£446.81 per month
processing fee £234
3 years 5000 miles.
Is this any good? Has anyone seen anything better?

They are knocking on for £60k so would say not too bad if specifically looking for one of those.I've been looking at an Audi S3 Sportback but have come across this.

The deal that you've just given has a headline figure on without mentioning the mileage the term, any down payment.
Also as it's through your employer salary sacrifice scheme nobody else on here can access the deal so nobody gives a st about it.
Better?

I think we'd better leave it there.
We seem to have differing opinions about your lease deal and each other, and in the process have upset the overlords, and probably bored everyone else to tears.
Just got the ball rolling on Cupra Leon 1.4 eHybrid VZ2 5dr DSG.
Delivery lead time 8-10 weeks so hopefully should get it by end of this year.
3 year lease at 5k mileage at £286 per month with £1k up front. Best I can find at the moment for a car with short lead time. Interested to get some thoughts on this...

I too was interested in this but ended up being a deal breaker because of 1) number of issues being reported by current owners on the eHybrid system 2) the laggy/confusing touch screen interface (no physical buttons at all) and 3) lack of heated front seats on the VZ2. I've gone for a Mercedes CLA instead which is roughly the same price over 3 years.

I personally went for the desire red version, with £3k initial rental and 15k miles for £307p/m, their customer service has been pretty good too!

What are these issues that you mention on the e-hybrid engines? I've not heard anything negative from the e-hybrid or in general, the 1.4TSI hybrid power train, which is shared across a few VAG cars, nothing more than the few unlucky posts that had issues.I've gone for a Mercedes CLA instead which is roughly the same price over 3 years.

have a look here, also check out the Formentor section as similar issues. https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/forums/cupra-leon...
As pensions etc are being spoken about my work is just about to launch a car salary sacrifice scheme. Anyone care to explain how this impacts your pension company scheme and know if any calculator is available with a scheme they use. I have contributed 25 years already into the pension. No idea what the deals are so no idea if good enough but would like to understand more so I can ask relevant questions

It's hard to comment on deal for reasons already given, but its the fuel savings thst make it a good deal I think - if you do enough miles!
But, having 3 kids, I would say that I never got back on my feet after having a kid! Mrs went part time, more babies came along, more and more costs. Just don't stretch yourself and tie into an deal I would say.

RAV4 Hybrid deal at Leasing Options:
https://www.leasingoptions.co.uk/car-leasing/toyot...
£809.19 upfront
£269.73 per month - 36 month Lease
£199 processing fee.
no idea on lead time.
I was looking for an SUV - Kodiaq, Tucson etc so this might be the one... thoughts on this one?
Decent car. We had one for ~2000 miles as a rental in Canada a few weeks ago. Couldn’t fault it tbh. The only thing that would upset me is knowing they’re £10k cheaper there than here for some reason but that’s somewhat irrelevant on a lease. We had the metallic grey, was a nice colour, the boot was cavernous and handled our excessive amount of luggage nicely, very comfortable on a lengthy journey, all the gadgets you could want even on the base spec (I’m assuming the same on the U.K. cars). For the price you’ve quoted a solid choice in the current market I reckon.https://www.leasingoptions.co.uk/car-leasing/toyot...
