A diesel driving devil speaks:
But, but, but - Could you buy it, run it for a year [just paying VED, insurance and petrol], then sell it for about £20K...
The drop in price of about £5K would be similar to the annual cost of a PCP on a much less appealing car...
It's pure luck, just a game of pass the bomb tbh. But, but, but - Could you buy it, run it for a year [just paying VED, insurance and petrol], then sell it for about £20K...

High tyre pressure on one front wheel was an old ruse to hide a car that pulled to one side.
I've not driven it yet, but I was actually wondering if it was hiding something - though that tyre looks like it's been resealed/reseated as there was some evidence of product on the sidewall but not on the others. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202406070...
Nice. Still got lots of depreciation left to do though.
Why they bothered to sell them here is a mystery to me.

However, that one you've linked to is a 2.5T, which I'm afraid makes it a 4 cylinder engine.

Puncture repair/part worn replacement? I've just had a 2" nail removed from my rear tyre and the place I take it to do have a tendency to be a tad over generous with the air (this time it was around 40psi when it should, just like yours, be 33psi). Got lucky this time though, the last puncture (rear so the most expensive end) the nail went through the shoulder, and after having deflated, promptly when through the beading as well, on a tyre that had about 2000 miles on it if that. £285 later, new tyre (with the obligatory dollop of generous psi).

I've always loved the Arnage and that is one of the best i've seen!https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1749538
They are dropping in price to the point i try to make the best man-maths calculations about running one as a daily.
And then i remember the purchase price is just the entry point to a world of potential pain!
However, had the seller been 'Duke and Duke' then it'd be a done deal (Ralph and Mortimer).

I'm sure this could be bought for £15k and it just looks so classy and for the price of a nearly new shopping trolley car......

It's the Green Label though, despite being lovely. That BMW unit is a good engine, but surely if you're going to do Bentley stuff you should have the full fat version. I'm sure this could be bought for £15k and it just looks so classy and for the price of a nearly new shopping trolley car......

There are cheaper 6.75 Models like this one

But i'm not a fan of the black interior
Ive seen this smoker on Facebook:

Perhaps some potential to be spurious reading the ad.
But a V8 in SE trim with low mileage and sensibly priced

Whilst it would be nice to have the 6.75 engine i think as a semi-shedlike way of running such a vehicle the BMW engine may be more reliable long term.

The only way it could have a less reliable engine than a BMW V8 is if they bought in B grade Rover K series powerplants. There are cheaper 6.75 Models like this one

Given the difficulty the M62 had in keeping it's fluids inside and it's timing gear intact in much less demanding applications I can't imagine it's any sort of stalwart of dependability when you put a pair of turbochargers on it and task it with dragging around 2.3 tons of Bentley.
I gather the 6.75 is partial to a head gasket but is otherwise as tough as it's nature would suggest, and of course as a pushrod engine a head gasket isn't nearly as tedious a task as with a (D)OHC design.

As opposed to Bo and Luke (and cousin Daisy of course !) ? Am I showing my vintage - there is something about a Dodge Charger though whilst most Yank stuff passes over me. Think wrecked orange DofH ones, Bullitt chase car, and was one in ETA
