I’m sure he’d be tempted by £4500 in notes on the bonnet once you lift it and walk back to your car/the station. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/387105129608?

Memory seats are a nice touch, as are the mudguards.
Needs a metal AA badge on the grille.
You can get into a 212 for 6grand.

I don’t have the gonads.
Plus the rise of these painfully predictable auction flannel descriptions like:
“If you’re looking for a well specified, viscerally quick L322 in great condition, you may just have found it.“
With the ending disclaimers along the lines of:
“This is a private sale so don’t blame us if it craps its pants in every direction ”
really do put me off.

Given recent news coverage of JLR products, if it's actually possible to get insurance to drive it away, it'll probably be nicked before it breaks again. So no need to worry!Plus the rise of these painfully predictable auction flannel descriptions like:

In other rather sad news. My barge fund is about be somewhat depleted due to my current daily driver now looking like this:
![](https://forums-images.pistonheads.com/467723/202406213410651?resize=720)
30-40mph impact. The back of the passenger side wheel is now roughly inline with the A pillar.
Not going to lie, the fact that the same accident in an '80s or early '90s car would have left us both with more than a couple of cracked ribs each, scares me a little.
Very glad you've both made it out largely intact, as you say stuff like that is at the back of my mind when I'm messing around in some ancient biscuit tin of a car.https://youtu.be/e-v0Ez1Bd4c?si=0-weLT83Xvf-EjCV

Before judging, just thought I'd add that the last time I was stung by a wasp, I swelled up, turned blue and stopped breathing. There is a reason for the phobia of the stripy little barstewards.

Last time it was 5 Epipens, an inhaler gadget that the paramedics brought, and an ambulance trip to hospital.
You have my sympathy and usderstanding.
Crazy price for an Allroad but someone really wanted it - £9,504 inc:

I've been dipping in and out of that auction today, that was incredible. The guide price was £2k - £4k, but an internet bidder and somebody in the hall went tit for tat from under £5k up to £8800. ![eek](/inc/images/eek.gif)
A lot of cars went quite cheap I thought, and not just the non-runner basket cases. Big Mercs now seem undesirable, for some.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

Mosquito’s and wasps, I fail to see what they bring to the party; that prat, with the ark has a lot to answer for.

Yes, their "interior demonstrator". Curious. As is this, and close enough to Friday

I used to see it pootling around, what an odd collaboration that was!

I was catching up with this thread in the morning, a couple of days into my long weekender motorcycle trip to Normandy. Unbelievably, I then jumped on the bike and spotted one in this town, about fifteen minutes later! It was a military green and looked rather handsome for a curio. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/47329796...

Did anyone see at what price the SL600 reached? It's unsold on the ACA website. I was watching the GP.
edit: £13,068 inc. The updates are slow.

Nothing says you;ve made it like a colour matched Nokia and a walnut-finish Becker Mexico.

I think I could live with the car, but not the price. ![](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/S~wAAOSwQ1lmeBDp/s-l1600.jpg)
