A pre-Friday special, arguably should be around £6k -- but find another petrol V6 equipped version. MOT history is very strong, too.

Pity the seats couldn’t fold flat (puts brown paper bag over head).

An amazing motor car!

Cheaper than the last one I saw, unless it's the same one with a price reduction. I think the number of V6 petrols in the UK is tiny, probably a single figure number.

Lovely. I only recently realised that cars without the lounge pack had folding rear seats which makes it a much more practical choice.

Wants some better looking wheels though.

I wonder how well cars like this will sell in say about 2030, when the road tax has passed the psychological barrier of £1,000 a year? scratchchin

Resin gravel drive as well for the win! Who's collecting?

Owned for 11years and probably paid the same 10k he wants now. I can't justify for such an old vehicle.

I'd love a C6 but a chap wrote an update on Drive to Write about how hard it's becoming to keep his running with parts availability, and it's very offputting.

I'm surprised parts are an issue so soon? EU law says that EVERYTHING has to be available for a minimum 10 years after discontinuation. Exceptions being companies that have ceased to exist, eg Rover, Saab etc.

It’s been out of production for 12 now I think?

Maybe the situation is better in France but for a car that sold in such small numbers it would be very hard to justify keeping parts in stock much less getting a run of new parts.

Sad though, they’re pretty special

Fear not, your decision just became a little easier… original design Roccastrada 18” included in the sale smile

How's your LS to run? I've seriously considered selling my really reliable and reqlly frugal mini and buying a 460 on the grounds that life is too short...My daily commute is @15 miles at 60mph on a dual carriageway plus 4/5 miles or so of roundabouts and town driving....am I bonkers thinking an LS would get 25mpg?
I do similar journeys (albeit DC at a somewhat higher speed) and it's more like 20-22MPG average, but I'm fairly certain I get 33-34 on longer runs. I run on super as mine isn't compatible with E10 (aluminium fuel pipes being the culprit IIRC).
I checked the trip computer, 21.3MPG long-term average. Only a few longer trips in that so probably a pretty accurate reflection of my daily driving which, as said before, is similar to yours.
Thanks for taking the time to answer. Amazing big cars!!

Without sounding like a stuck record, my Century does 20mpg and costs feck all to run because it's so well made and engineered it doesn't go wrong. Five years and about £750 so far in "failure" repairs. Apart from the usual annual oil & filter and a set of pads and tyres, that's been it. It's proven to be one of the cheapest cars I've ever run, by far.

What parts were an issue? I might have missed them, but it seems that a garage fixed them all for £3.5k

He’s right about Kung Fu Panda 4, however. That was very disappointing.

If you’re happy to take it to a proper actual specialist (lots of bullstters out there) and pay thousands for them to jury rig things and source parts from all over the place there is no issue I suppose, but you’re well into hobby/toy car territory at that point, I think?

He only mentioned caliper and a wiper motor, but not what was done for £3.5k. Very odd. Reading between the lines it would appear the owner was skimping on maintenance imo.

I ran an LS400 for @6 months, 24mpg week in week out, 34mpg on runs, needed nothing, everything worked!! I also like the smaller 'older' IS saloon and cabrio with the v6 engine...not sure if the rfl is awful on there's or not. Reality suggests I'm unlikely to get shot of my mini right now but man maths is gonna kick in when I do for sure!! It's cost me pennies over 5 and a half years and gets great mpg but it's getting a little wearing. I only drive @ 250-300 miles a week now but shoukd really be comfier than a diesel mini!!
