Best lease car deals available?
Discussion
From looking it appears that unless you go with the business offers (which I cant), it isn't as an attractive option. Are there any very good personal deals around at the moment? I'm paying a couple hundred a month on a car loan for a 4 year old car, wouldn't mind rejigging things and ending up with a new A4/3 series for not much more a month.

Audi A6 for £199.99 +VAT anyone?

A new car is the last thing I should be buying now, and it's the basic 2.0TDi, but at that price I'm tempted (even when I take account of the fact I'd have to pay VAT)
business user only deal.http://www.freedomcontracts.com/viewdeal.asp?ID=28...

So with the leasing deal option of business or personal, to take advantage of the business rates would you need to register/purchase the car in the name of a limited company?
Almost worth registering a ltd company if that's the case, big difference in cost.
only worth if VAT registered, but then i don't think you actually get all the VAT back even then. Also, you'd need to find some loophole to get around paying company car tax as a user of the car and an employee of the company. Almost worth registering a ltd company if that's the case, big difference in cost.

But 9 payments up front which makes it £262.49 plus Vat.http://www.freedomcontracts.com/viewdeal.asp?ID=28...

5k pa is £169.99
10k pa is £199.99.
Ohhhh, my dad has a company, so always assumed I could put a B2B lease through it and just pay the monthly direct to him, so that would affect his tax then? (I'm assuming he would be forced to pay the BIK or something?)
That makes every lease deal that I like look a lot less attractive!!
Oh well, hopefully it's of use to a business user on here, it's not like PH doesn't have it's fair share of directors!

i'm not sure to be honest, but in a way it's a special case as your Dad might choose to pay for all of the car out of the company accounts and let you use it even though you're not an employee (dunno if you are or not). Not sure where that would leave you tax-wise as companies have to notify the HMRC if an employee has use of a company car, but if you're not on the PAYE roll then who knows! I feel sure the HMRC would find a way around it otherwise again anyone could just register a Ltd co as a way to at least get cheap car deals for their family if not themselves. That makes every lease deal that I like look a lot less attractive!!

I'm not an employee, although I easily could be I suppose, would need to speak to the accountant I suppose before I could do anything!Blue Oval84 said:
