Good to see some decent deals coming back hopefully more to come.
What’s driving the decent deals coming back?

Thanks

Rob

Lack of sales! That's being driven by the economic slowdown etc

There was an interesting piece about the Cons going for an early election because 800,000 households currently convert from a pre-Truss mortgage to current rates each month. So more and more people feeling the pinch and less likely to vote for them.

That's a lot of households stopping discretionary spend like upgrading the car.

The pendulum has swung, sales outside of fleet are down and not recovering whilst supply is pretty much back where it should be. Difficult to see that changing before IR fall.

It’s £500 a month with the deposit. Nearly £25k for 4 years.

You'll need to go to the MB online showroom unless you're a business user planning on taking 2 or more cars within 12 months.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but since it is a bit tricky getting a quick answer from my lease co when not able to talk on the phone:

I was advised to return a lease car (early termination without penalty)!while I was on holiday but unknowingly I paid for another month.

I will be buying a car to replace the lease car and the old car

2 questions

1) I’m near the yearly mileage allowance for the car already and it’s been only 7 and a half months due to an unanticipated large amount of travel I’ve had to make. Will I be charged for excess mileage based on the fact that at this rate I would be going over the yearly allowance? Or could I claim that I was going to park the car up and not have to pay it?

2) I’ve paid for another month last week but I wish to return the car asap. Would I get my money back refunded at a pro rata rate for the remainder of the month?

Thanks

Mercedes have said they are going to prioritise profits over volume and have gone to an agency model so they can control all their prices. Apart from EV’s, I haven’t seen any deals that have been advertised. The days of getting an E class for £250 a month with peanuts down are probably over, at least in the near future.

Yep, the lease costs I’ve seen are a joke when you can pick up a pretty decent motor between 15 to 20k - you effectively get a free car in a few years time compared to leasing.

That's because there's no leasing terms, so a lease company is effectively paying full retail for a car. The EQC deal was on pre registered vehicles, so even on an outgoing EV there was no support from MB.

There are deals available for business users though, just not personal. Originally I thought they'd backtrack and switch back to the dealer model, now I think agency is here to stay for MB in the UK

1. You will be charged pro-rata, so will probably get invoice for excess miles.
2. Depends on the founder. Some refund pro-rata.
You still have to contact finance company to get correct answers from them.

Have you decided to return your EQC?
