Is there a general consensus on maintenance packages? Got a SEAT Ibiza DSG due in august on a 24 month, 8000 mile lease. Maintenance add on is £23.32 per month. Any tips or help would be appreciated!
You are unlikely to need any tyres, so all you are saving is the cost of 1, maybe 2, services. £23 per month is about £700 depending on your payment profile.
If it's the 1.5 then it could easily go through the fronts. Be worth rotating them at a suitable interval.

It's good having someone else pick up the bill but one of the benefits of opting out of my company car was not having to go through the hassle of getting tyres changed, where leasing companies won't authorise them unless they're pretty well flush to the treadwear indicators.

Thanks for posting this.

I just signed today. 1 + 17 ,8000 miles per annum. 10p excess mile charge.
£154 a month plus VAT
£225 fee.

Run through my buisness, no BIK tax, no car tax. Effectively 80 quid a month out of my take home pay.
Won't need a service or tyres. Range works in our case.

Cheaper than bangernomics. If a electric van works for you (It does fine for us a second runaround, and the van bit will be usefull too.)
£80 because of 40% tax band?
Glad that it works out for you.

Octopus Energy have a deal on a home EV charger at the moment - https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/myenergi-zappi-ev...

Hopefully helpful to some, as there are often requests on here for advice on home chargers.

I've had a PodPoint charger for over 3 years - no complaints from me. Intelligent Octopus Go is the tariff I use for juicing up the Maxus T90 on the cheap between 23:30 and 05:30 (7.5p/kWh, 25.83p/kWh at all other times, 69.14p/day standing charge).

Unfortunately just the 1.0, hopefully no risk of excessive tyre wear though. Do 24 month leases leave you liable for the second service at 24 months or is there a common way around this? Maintenance package looks a lot more worthwhile if you have to front the second service cost..

Thanks for this. I'm tempted to get the Lexus deal through my company so I've been eyeing up chargers.

My house doesn't really have much space at the front to have one of these attached to it so need to speak to someone about where it could go (possible in between the porch and windows)

Anyway just wanted to acknowledge your post and say thanks!

I have a 1.0 DSG, just 2 years into a 3 year contract. Its only done 15k but the front tyres are hardly worn. I wouldn't worry about it. I got lucky with mine though as at the time, I got full maint including tyres for £9 a month. Its come in handy as the 2 services it had were both over £200 and i had a puncture which meant a replacement tyre at £92!

Having just bought a 2017 M140i I am smarting a bit with these brand new 135i deals as mine isn’t overall aiming to be much cheaper, but I couldn’t wait the lead time so I guess that’s what I need to focus on!

Bought so you’ll own it at the end? Plus you get to enjoy 6cylinders.

I always do the first service at 13 months (normally they allow 30 days grace from due date) therefore it is not due it’s 2nd service when returned, never been an issue on my lease cars of the past.

Going direct to Lotus seems to be cheaper.

They don’t seem to have build slots mind you- they only want to sell what’s in the network currently

I have an Audi A5 on lease, got it in November so just over 8 months, done around 1600 miles since.

There seems to be a whining noise from the brakes randomly when pressed, sounds like a squeal.. with the mileage and how new it is, it can’t be the brakes are wearing out.

Any advice or whether I should call the Audi Contract hire Helpline and see what they can do?

Has it happened to anyone before? I don’t have the maintenance & servicing package. Just the standard warranty that comes with a new car

I suspect you will have a much better response rate if you create your own thread in the appropriate category. Good luck!

Managed to snag A Cupra Leon Design edition 1 + 23 for £265.89 from Nationwide Vehicles if anyone’s interested they might have some more probably because the new shape is out soon. The price on the website has gone up massively, but worth the ask if you are interested.
