Zenos Cars - Ingliston Today

Anyone else going along to this?
I put my name down for more info on the Zenos stand at Autosport this year, and Ian from Murray Lotus got in touch to tell me they are doing some passenger laps around Ingliston tonight to get to experience the cars in action.
I don't think they could get insurance sorted to allow the public to drive, but they may have something else at Knockhill in the future.
I am looking forward to seeing what these go like - the figures are certainly very appealing!
Not sure what model(s) they will have with them tonight.

When I turned up it was a bit quiet, and the signposts to find them were non-existent 
I did spy an E10s in green so knew I was on the right track (pardon the pun).
When I caught up with Ian the salesman from Murray Lotus, it became apparent we both know each other from a previous life.
The car I went out in was an orange and black E10s (my company colours, looked very nice).
Apparently it had been worked hard all day and never missed a beat.
It is the 2.0 Turbo version, kicking out around 250bhp in a 750kg car which is good for 0-60 in around 4 secs.
This one had the track pack so uprated dampers, sports exhaust, etc.
It was a quick wee motor, unfortunately there is not much usable track left in Ingliston but what is there was used to good effect.
There is a sunken drain on the apex of one of the corners and the car skirted across it without as much as a wiggle.
Acceleration was good, and the handling was very impressive.
I can only imagine how mental fast teh E10r is with 100bhp more!
They are going to try and have a driving experience at the Supercar day at Knockhill on 24th July so I am hoping to finally get behind the wheel then.
Overall, a very accomplished machine and certainly a very good proposition in terms of £ per bhp.
As to whether I could justify spending upwards of £27k (E10s is more like £34k) for something with no real roof is another question. But then the same applies to Ariel Atoms, Lotus 2-11, etc.
Certainly the Zenos affords a bit more in terms of creature comforts when compared to an Atom and from what i'm told, the E10r can hold it's own on the twisty bits with Atoms, etc.
I think on a sunny day, one of these would also be a real joy to fire over somewhere like the Bealach Na Ba.
