Will we still be able to get in and find a place for 1 car and a tent??? We weren't planning on going this year but time and money have just sprung up out of nowhere and it's impossible to get tickets etc... anywhere. I seem to remember somebody last year telling me that they just went and always found space for the car and got to see the race.

So ,honestly, what are my chances ?

PS: Sorry about the writing style of a ten year old , but im not usually up this early.

If you mean tickets to get in to see the race itself, then you can buy on the day of the race - we've never pre-purchased these.
If you want to camp - forget it near the circuit, but further out (10 to 15 mins) there are municipal camp sites where there are always a fair number of people staying who are also there for Le Mans (plus a fair number of French holiday makers wondering what is it with the English and their cars!).

2 years ago I did pre-book a municipal camp site outside Le Mans and was glad I did, as we didn't arrive until Saturday lunch-time and they were full.

Hope that helps

This is not true.

You can camp in Parking Blue (the one between the ACO entrance and the airfield), but turning up on the Thursday/Friday/Saturday). It's E16 to park and about another E20 for the camping pass. Facilities are basic (there’s toilets on site and showers at the ACO entrance), but it's definitely open to people camping turning up on the day.

This is what I've done every year for the last 5 years with no problems and what I'll be doing again this year.

If you do want tickets for camping elsewhere they're always on Ebay and get very cheap a few days before the race if you can collect them from people who unexpectedly can't go.

Sounds good as i'll be arriving on the thursday at about midday, we'll probably go to bleu as you recommend. Hopefully in a 5 litre Chimaera if the next two weeks go according to plan , if not i'll be going in the hippo (My pet name for my bmw 740i).

This is my first lemans and i can't wait , for the racing as much as meeting some fellow pistonheaders and being around some beautiful cars for a few days with people who share the same passion.

Hope to see you there

Yep, you'll have no problems camping. I think it's parking/camping blue, but it might be green?? It's the one to the west of the track, between the track and the airfield. Also, one of the benefits of being here is you can get to the village of Arnarge at any time to stock up on food and beer and also easy access to Arnarge/Indianapolis/Mulsane Corner in the car.

It used to be FF360 (FF320??) I think. It's now a little more in Euros. Sorry - I can't remember exactly. It's less than £40 though, which is cracking value compared to things like F1 etc.

No problem at all!

Buy a crossing off www.speedferries.com
Buy a camping ticket off eBay (Houx is the one to go for) http://tinyurl.com/2tfh4
Buy circuit tickets at the entrance

And meet up with other PH'ers when there!!
