Pistonheader- Rob Barff- RACING AT LE MANS
Discussion
One for us all keep keen eyes on..........Rob is a fellow PH'er, and is this year one of the drivers for the Rollcentre Team in a Dallara LMP900.
Last year Rob was driving a TVR, but this year, it's a different story (quote from Rob's website):
“All of the circuit is fast but the run from Mulsanne corner to Indianapolis is amazing. The track is normally a standard ‘N’ road, quite narrow and tree lined. There are 2 blind crests and I was again touching 200mph - it felt like a video game, only speeded up! You must stay really focussed and try to avoid getting tunnel vision. Another thing to avoid is slower cars! You have to take great care approaching slower cars, the rule is - they hold their line and the faster car finds his way around.”
If ever support was needed for a fellow Pistonheader......you know what to do !

Rob has also agreed to an interview for Pistonheads FM: Torque Radio, to be broadcast at www.pistonfest.com this year.
GOOD LUCK ROB.

Rob is a really nice bloke and very friendly - have met him a few times during his Rollcentre career and also had a chat last year at Le Mans in the TVR garage
Ted - are you doing any Rob Barff t-shirts again this year? I don't think turning up in a TVR shirt is the done thing in the Rollcentre garage
Good luck Rob, and also to Shorty, will be chearing on car number 6 this year, give those Audis something to think about
