Last time I went by bike, which is obviously cheating; I need guidance on journey-time back to Calais so I know which ferry to book myself on.

Any help gratefully received.

Depends on the number of times you need to stop. I know of one person who did it late at night in 3.5 hours. 5.5 hours is comfortable taking into consideration the traffic and refueling needs.

It can be done in about 3.5 hours, assuming you don't hit any traffic at Rouen (usually not too bad on a Sunday evening). Best to avoid the N138 if you want to "make progress" though - try the N12 towards Paris, then north up the N154 past Evreux. Very lightly trafficked, never seen any cops, and the brand new motorway section from Evreux to Rouen is usually empty

My own PB was a few years ago in my old M5 Touring - section from Rouen to the Eurotunnel terminal in 1 hour and 5 minutes (it's a nadge under 200km). Won't be repeating that this year I fear....

cheers
