Getting from City Centre to Track
Discussion
There is a shuttle bus from the station to the circuit on the Saturday and Sunday, but for the rest of the time there is a regular bus service from the Cemetery 10mins walk up from the main entrance, a one-way ticket costs about a Euro. The buses stop fairly early in the evening and even the 'night bus' doesn't run much past 21h00. It's much further than a 45min walk, the bus journey is 15-20mins.

It seemed like 45 minutes the last time I walked it .... ok, I could have been drunk!

One year the race started and finished about an hour later where as the next year it seemed to go on for about 48 hours but mainly at night.
Guess which year the drink knocked me out and which year it gave me a headache all night!
Bus from the Train station goes straight to the museum (just outside main gate). On race day is the best way to get there unless you aim to be there by 7:30am because it uses the bus lanes rather than joining the 200,000 other people attempting to drive in.
Cab back is probably not a bad idea.
