I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO MISS LM THIS YEAR......

Right, scenario first. Having become a father again for the second time 8 weeks ago I had planned to miss LM this year and only go to the Classic. Poor excuse I know, but I also have a wedding on the Saturday to go to.... all very poor excuses to be missing the best event of the year.

Now, I need help finding a way to get to Le Mans for Thursday night only, leave work at say 4.30 (West Sussex) and get to LM and back to work Friday morning having a night in Houx Annexe with every other bugger in my group who will be there under the monster flag pole.

So here it is, how do I do it.......

I have investigated flying, one place quoted me a grand for four people to private charter a plane into LM.... seems the best option to me. But anyone else got any good ideas....?????

Well it takes about 7 hours from English coast to get to Le Mans by road. So there and back is fourteen hours which if you leave at 4.30 will get you back to start at 6.30 am if you just turn around as soon as you get there.

Will have to be by plane but thats a bit pricey for a night out isn't it?

Mark, mate... I have one thing to say:

NUTTER!!! FANTASTIC!!

Okay, that's two words... Find another three bonkers mates and it's only £250 each... We'll even have a cold beer waiting for ya!

Do it!

One of our gang is nipping back to the UK for a wedding (I don't thinks it's his). Anyway his plan is a train to Paris then a cheap flight into London and back again later that night. Sounds like it could work.

This year is really going to be strange... Most of your side of the gang aren't making it this year and half of ours have pulled out too.
The latest bad news is that Martin (THE Houx Annexe Roundabout Lotus Europa) isn't able to make it this year either.
We're gonna have to come back with a proper bang next year!

Have you tried going to your local little airfield, one of those fields with little private planes in, nothing commercial, and swinging a deal with a chap with a plane?
Might work out a whole lot cheaper as the pilot might fancy the jaunt across for the flying hours alone, as the ones I have met are dpoing it to build those up to get a job as a commercial pilot.

You never know
