So, what toons would people like?

Let's face it, we're gonna bring a silly sound system, but I'd like to accommodate all tastes.
I was thinking fairly rock 'n' roll, but do people have any particular requests?



(I ask now so that I can get on Kazaa Lite / WinMX and get them on my jukebox)

A bit of everything would be fine to encourage gentle nodding heads to full-on pogo dancing round the fire.

# The Madness / Bad Manners sketch last year was excellent so more of that.

# The progressive metal you played last year was interesting to say the least, I'd like more of the traditional metal like Iron Maiden, Metallica & GNR although if you can drop the odd Quo tune in for the comedy value that would also be appreciated.

# Early 90's - blur, pulp, stone roses, oasis, charlatans to remind me of my poly days.

# Make sure you have "Self Preservation Society" from the Italian Job

# Alternative cover versions ie sound nothing like the original always make an interesting addition to proceedings. For instance SLF - White Christmas / Running Bear or Sex Pistols - My Way. One of the best of these that I've heard is by "The King" who is an Elvis impersonator who then covers tracks in the style of Elvis, so his renditions of Nirvana or Iran Maiden are something to behold !

# For those mellower moments, a bit of Cafe del Mar per chance - (number 4).

hmmm I've never even heard of progressive metal! So I guess I'm far too middle of the road in my musical tastes!! We have, however, got a couple of version of self preservation that I could get Tony to send to you....!

i hope to Hear this Compelation from over the wall in HOUX! Just bought a couple of Fantastic C.D.s to get me in the mood for the drive down. Italian Job Soundtrack (original) Get a Bloomin move on. And the other is THE BEST OF WAR! or War Soundtracks. As my car sounds like a Lancaster Bomber it only seems fitting to be listening to DAM BUSTERS & 633 SQUADREN & Colonel BOGEY. Four Quid from HMV.
Any songs that go with a V8 Baseline. Heard plenty of Rock there in the last 10 visits. One guy came over while we were chilling with our BEERS in the family sized swimming pool and said this "ARE YOU LOST"
I replied "NO"
he then said "This isn't a F***ing Festival you know, Turn that sh*t off"
He did not realise he was in the middle of the TVR car club. So was segrigated for the rest of the Holiday. I don't think he knew what was about to happen. Bet he was loving FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT

I think songs that have a connection to Motoring are the best songs e.g.

Actually, I'm not 100% sure what it means myself... Labels are all a bit confusing...

Sorry Charles the title if you are trying to find it is GREAT WAR THEMES! It doesn't help DRIVING having tears in your eyes because your passenger is shouting out Chocks Away, Bloody Splended, Watch the Flank Cannon, Let me show you how its done and we've hit the Gerry Barstared! In his Poshest BBC Accent from the 1940's.

Best tracks are 633 SQUADREN, DAMBUSTERS, COLONEL BOGEY, ACES HIGH, THE GREAT ESCAPE, M.A.S.H. and The Guns of Naverone. Unfortunetely it does not have RULE BRITANIA or The National Anthem on but i suspect if i look for THE LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMBS. I won't be dissapointed. Chimaera S3TAY

Just had Broadband fitted! And after a few minor glitches like the Sasser Virus and Not having a filter on the SKY
I have now downloaded more music for Le Mans than I know what to do with. And its all free!
Managed to find the following:

While last years sing-a-long went well you have still some way to go until you emulate the Keeler wall-of-sound which used outside broadcast speakers borrowed from MTV. Based in Houx Annex it could be heard by the Dunlop Bridge.

I'm definitely going to try to get hold of some of that type of track, believe me!
