Having made a last minute decision to go to Le Mans this year I'm on the lookout for camping places.

It's been suggested to me that it's possible to buy camping places by just turning up on the Friday. Can anyone give me some more info?

There are still camping tickets available from the ACO ( www.lemans.org ) in Beausejour and Technoparc and you can buy until the 10th May via mailorder.

You might get lucky just turning up, if the chap on the gate considers the site is not full yet or if a suitable bribe is offered. Parking and admission tickets are readily available all weekend.

Thanks Guy, I've been on the ACO site but can't see any camping tickets? I've found tickets for carparks and general admission tickets but not camping. Sorry to be dim but can you point me in the right direction?

Well done the ACO, I just sent them an email asking about camping tickets and got a reply in about 10 minutes - I'm impressed!

Does anyone have an opinion on booking either Beausejour or Technoparc? Technoparc is slightly more expensive so presumably is better/closer or something?

Piglet, I have emailed you the details and price for the tickets/ferry.
Let me know as soon as you can as I have a bit of a list building up here!

We were in Beausejour last year, and again this (due to last minute ticket buying turmoil). It's down near the Porsche Curves, so is a good 30mins walk to the main circuit village, but there is a shuttle bus. Last year they were measuring out plots for each group, so you get much more space than in, for example, Maison Blanche or Bleu which are just free-for-alls. There seemed to be a better ratio of bogs to campers ratio as well. Nice and close to Arnage Village as well.

Another question.....

Can someone confirm whether I'll get into a campsite if I arrive in the middle of the night?

The Good News: If you have a ticket, the entrances are manned 24/7.

The Bad News: If you haven't a ticket, the entrances are manned 24/7.

I heard there were only tickets in those two places. But i was determined to get in HOUX or Houx Annexe so i emailed a few places. And got a reply the next morning from Just Tickets and Motorsport and they sorted me out with a Cancelation. How Jammy is that!

I have a (now) unwanted space in Houx (not the Annex). This is arguably the best site (at least it's the most expensive!). Buyer, at TVRCC price, would also have to take two entrance tickets off me too as a job lot.
