My first Le Mans this year, and was surprised by a few things, obviously Audi supplied all the support vehicles, was this because of the fact that they have won recently?
The medical cars seemed to be in existence in great numbers, is this standard?
Also, the Race Control was an R8 (very nice) but the Safety Car was TT RS, now I know the RS is no slouch, but surely bearing in mind the amount of track time and the pace needed by the safety car, would it not have been sensible to swap the roles of the R8 and the TT RS?

The whole event is sponsored by Audi. Regarding the TT and the R8 - marketing strategy most likely.

They had a set of Cadillac STS Safety cars one year, they sounded glorious.

What else has been the official car? I seem to remember some Corvettes in the past.

There was a rumour that this years Safety Cars were going to be Lambos, but they thought they might need to run more than a lap under the safety car...

I'm not sure if it was RLM or Eurosport, but one of them said that the preceding years winner gets first shout at providing the safety car. Nice 308 diesel for next year then...
