Evening all,

I NEED to go to Lemons next year, I have missed most of the race 3 times in a row now because of work.

What do I need to know about the tickets to book? and also, how much do you reckon the whole thing will cost?

Also, since it is quite a long way around the track, is it worth taking a push bike?

Many thanks,

Matt.

Why not share the cost of the trip together.

Where is this lemons place you talk of?

I quite fancy the idea of going to Le Mans next year though.

Thanks for the replies so far, I might cut the cost of the trip by sharing, I will be traveling with E21_Ross though (not planning on going there all on my own!)

Keep the replies coming, the info will be useful.

Does anyone have a vague idea of overall cost for a weekend to Le Mans if someone was to drive there with a car full of mates. I also NEED to go but I just need to budget for it :-)

I would budget around £400

this is broken down as £50 ferry (approx)
Camping at BJS £40
Grandstand seat £90
Fuel (4 stops for me) £120
Program £5
Food/beer £50 whip
another £50 burger, fags, etc etc
£5 for Le Mans radio ear piece

£405 all prices are rounded up and can be split depending on how many are in your car.

Excellent, I should be able to afford that no probs if I start saving (having a house now is annoying as there's less money for fun things now!)

Forgot to add
£50 on stickers
£16 for T shirt
£50 AA euro cover
£30 Tolls

But most was all paid well before the event so its easier to save/pay for

hi matt. i've decided if we can get hold of tickets at a not too bad price i will def go along with you. the earlier we can book the better, since i can do overtime to save! def share a car for saving costs (NOT to cut carbon emissions biglaugh ). Not sure which is more economical...my E21 or your 190E...hmmm neither great! hehe anyone know where we can get tickets? anyone else would be welcome to come along...can borrow my dads 6man tent! it's huge! it's an expensive weekend away, but i've been watching le mans for 5-6years now and have loved it ever since. got to go.

me and 190E Matt from southampton area so anyone on south coast or can meet along the way more than welcome. Maybe could convince my dad to let me take the E92 M3 biggrin doubt it some how.

cheers guys

I have such an urge to watch it live

I was all for the Pugs winning (well I wanted Aston to win, but that wasn't going to happen realistically) to end Audis reign of dominance, but secretly I wanted the Luftwaffe to quash the Frenchies with that beautifully vulgar R15 diesel repmobile*

So there are three teams I want to win, but I still secretly hope that Audi will become belligerent and secretly stick some waste-paper-basket sized Garrett turbo chargers onto the R15

But then on the other hand, I would love the British interlopers to show how it should be done with a proper sounding LMP1 car biggrin

I know the only thing I will be disappointed at is the sound of the diesel, if they could sound like one of these flying past, then it would be perfect.

Looks like it might be cheaper to car share (lets do our bit for the environment hehe), Will have to see how many would want a lift there, also is there a PH camp? (or somewhere where PHers congregate?)

Best Wishes,

Matt.

I reckon, from what I hear, the ticket is going to be about £120 ish maybe.

Must buy the damn ticket so it becomes harder for me not to go!
