Another newbie question... cash at le mans?
Discussion
What's the best thing to do regarding carrying cash at le mans?
I'm assuming once you're at the campsite ATMs are going to be few and far between... on the other hand though once all your beer and bbqs are bought from carrefour is their much to even spend money on between friday and sunday?
I'm usually totally averse to carrying large amounts of cash as I *always* lose a load of it, but maybe I need to this time.
cheers!

You need to be careful. I would always lock anything of value in the car (assuming it's not a soft top!), I would then sleep with the keys in my sleeping bag. There has been an increase in nasty people going into people's tents overnight and nicking bags which contain car keys and then opening the cars an nicking the contents.
I put my car key in a on old business card box and keep it in my sleeping bag - I was always worried about blipping the key so having it in a box avoids that danger.
There are few cash points and they will be busy so it's worth having the cash that you need but do be careful with it.

I'm sure the reports of crime are just better reported now we all have the internet, the only time I've had something stolen was an umbrella in 1997.
There's cash points in the main Circuit Village, but there always seems to be a queue. Plenty of banks in Arnage or the city centre of Le Mans.
