What boring stuff (documens) to take to Le Mans?

What documents do I need to take with me?
I've heard the French police are pretty unforgiving so I want to make sure I've got everything they might ask for if we get stopped for any reason. I'm taking...

Passport
Both parts driving licence
Insurance certificate
Breakdown cover details
V5
MOT certificate

Anything else I need?

European Health Insurance card....used to be the old E111, so you can get free medical treatment from French hospitals if needed!

Take photocopies of the V5 so that you can give the Rozzers a copy instead of the original which you may never see again once handed over!

Leave a copy of all of the above at home as well with the O/H or someone else you trust.

List of numbers needed to cancel bank/credit cards and block your phone might be useful in a crisis too.

No-one ever got into bother by having too much paperwork!

Don't forget you also now need a warning triangle & spare bulb kit in the car AND you need a high vis vest/jacket which you must have in the car within reach of the driver (i.e. so you can put it on before you get out the car). Headlamp beam changer things need to be on too (not just in the packet! ).

Does it have to be the originals then? Only taken copies for the last couple of years.

You need a HiVis waistcoat for everyone in the vehicle, not just the driver.
