One for 'the locals' - are there any Curries/Comet equivalents in Le Mans, or better still someone selling used appliances?
We used to buy the Le Mans fridge from the place in Center Sud but that had closed last year and the Carrefour prices weren't as good.
Come on - all the fridges the pikies pick up on the Monday must go SOMEWHERE!

I never understand why people used fridges as opposed to freezers. Surely if there's a group of you, fridges don't actually chill your drinks down enough to make them a decent temperature before you take them out and drink them? And a freezer can be left turned off overnight and will still be frozen in the morning.
We tend to go with the freezer and coolbox option. The freezer is used purely for ice (either freezer blocks or frozen bottles of water) which is circulated every couple of hours between the freezer and the coolbox, to make sure you always have a supply of ice cold beer no matter how quickly people are getting through it.

Well under-counter fridges are more common/cheaper than under-counter freezers and an under-counter fridge JUST fits through the rear doors of my car - which is more than can be said by the TVR drivers in our group.The only second hand shop I know for fridges and the like is north of Le Mans near Auchan. However, the best priced shop around is at Arnage, called Leger. It is a wholesaler but sells anything electrical direct to the public too. Directions:-
From Arnage head north into town and take the dual carriageway called Boulevard Pierre Lefaucheux. Carry on until you see a caravan place on the right and exit at the lights there onto the service road there still heading north. It is just a bit further on the right, a blue unit with a massive warehouse. You go in, you choose and pay and then go to the big door you will have seen in front of you as you entered. He'll take your receipt and bring the fridge or freezer) out. I buy all my stuff there.
