It's been a long while since I've been to Le Mans... is the fun fair still operating??

Went regularly in the late 80's, early 90's, and it was always a laugh... 12 bores, rides, strippers etc etc. Is it all still going, or all closed down in the interests of 'Elf 'n Safety??

Cheers,
Effortless.

It is all a bit limited now.

big wheel, a couple of fast rides throwing you into the air, a couple of stalls, punching machine, thats about it.

all placed now near the final chicane, instead of infield around dunlop bridge.

There is also some stuff near the esses, on the side of the musuem. bumper cars and a couple of other little bits.

Having seen the original on my first trip several years back in what turned out to be its final outing I can confirm that the current offering it lame to say the least.

I'd barely even call it a fun fair although a ride on the wheel is worth it just for the view.

It is a pale imitation of what once was. No guns, no Monza death karts, no strippers, nothing that would upset auntie.

Big Wheel is has and always will be a must though.

Remember the Ballons in the trees that you use to shot with 2 bore shot guns down by the esses, they were the days

82 was my first year, I don't remember the balloons, but that might have been because of beer and strippers biggrin I miss the old bit of the track now too, that used to run straight down from the Dunlop bridge to the esses frown

bks! Heading down on thursday for the first time in 8 years, after 10 trips prior and one seriously big crash on the way 7 years ago. Only going for the "death karts" . never mind have to make our own.
Anybody got any ideas for a suitable venue?
