Surely with 7 weeks to go its about now we start discussing what the weather will be doing! I seem to remember the long term forecasts for the last few years have irritatingly been about right.

What are the best websites to use for weather forecasts?

This is Le Mans at the start of June. You will almost certainly have biblical rain showers and boiling heat. The only thing that changes is the length of time you get each for.

Let's hope so. Even if it does mean all the campsites get coated in a blanket of dust.

Its good, but its still too far in the future for anything other then blind guesswork. I'll start paying attention in June.

http://www.weather2u.com/ say the offer 200 day forecasts...but the website fell on it's butt when I tried to point it at Le Mans.

2006 was a joke weather wise.

As long as it's better than that. Let it roll on.

Also this is the first year that I'm driving would love to have the roof down for the whole of it.

This is the one thing that will spice the whole thing up even more!

I dont want it to be as hot as 2003, and i dont want it to rain as much as the last couple of years. I will be happy either way as I wont be at work and I will be with my mates in a great place with cars and some beer smile

Having just arrived in Le Mans this evening.....

The weather on the drive down was clear and dry. The temperature was around 20 Degrees. Currently there is some clouds, but still warm.

Not much of an indication of what to expect in June. Like the earlier posts, I would bet on rain and sun in varying amounts.

Current weather at Le Mans is mixed. Yesterday morning 2C and had the fire lit yesterday evening - even in May. This morning extraordinarily warm - it was 6C at 7.30am! On a serious note the problem over the last couple of years has been the gulf stream staying down south and blocking the warmer weather below it over the Mediterranean. They reckon it'll resume it's normal habits this year and move north allowing the fine weather to come with it. Oh, it is now 3pm here and the thermometer shows 24C in the shade.

I hope its better than the last couple of years!! i'll never forget seeing the pics Lowdrag posted of the underpasses flush with water just before last years race

I think 2002 to 2006 were pretty good with a couple of extremely hot ones, I missed the '01' deluge thank goodness

Were due some sun!

I want it to be hot & Dry and no humidity asking for alot really but I will settle with humid if the rain stays away.

So when do we need to start doing the hot weather Dance and which Gods do we need to pray too??

Not sure how it could be better than 2006 - one of the hottest Le Mans ever !!! Hottest day on record for 30 years on the saturday. 2007 and 2008 were the bad years, 2005 and 2006 were perfect, roll on weather like that !!

If I recall correctly, 2004 was a bit of a scorcher as well.....I remember sleeping in (hire) car with the engine running and aircon on all night laugh

Im hoping that as a result of a cold winter, we'll see a good summer. Seems to have edged that way in the past biggrin
