Has anyone received their invoices from the ACO for camping tickets booked? I have booked them and have not heard anything yet. I believe they where out by this time last year

Wow - Deja Vu!

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=66327&f=25&h=0

Anyway, the upshot is that I emailed the ACO and this is their response:

ACO said:

Dear Sir,

The orders are not registered yet because there are several changes. You should receive an answer beginning of next year.

Yours faithfully.

Make of that what you will!!

Cheers

I think they do it in alphabetical order.

You might be waiting some time!

I spoke to the booking office a couple of weeks back and they said the allocation was going to happen in Feb '04?

Bit worried as I've ordered 30tickets and 20camping passes!

We've recieved our allocation of camping passes, payment has to be made in full within 2 weeks. the only problem is they've put the price up to around £52

Were the tickets from the ACO or a booking agent ?

They were from the ACO, 'booked' at the 2003 week.

Just got this back from them Barstewards. I booked in June and now they tell me no places left.

Dear Sir,

The allocation started last December therefore in July we did not know that
there will be no more places for the booking made at the end of June. We
will propose you another area and place your name on the waiting list.

The aco do make me laugh....

I've got a suggestion for next year....

1) Dont take any bookings untill you finalise what spaces you've got
2) make a spread sheet with the number of pitches for each site
3) only take firm bookings, no provisional i'd like a pitch maybe stuff
4) one pitch one booking, everytime you take a booking take the numer of pitches off you dam list...

or is that too simple...

This is a bit of a worry - I haven't heard anything from the ACO in November, since they told me allocation will not start until Feb 2004 !

Very odd !

What are my chances of getting camping passess ? Looking more unlikely by the day !
