Houx Annexxe campsite ticket required
Discussion
As the ACO have given all the tickets for Houx Annexe to the "extortionate mark-up brigade", I would be happy to relieve someone of their campsite ticket for the same price as the ACO charge or perhaps slightly higher.
I have friends staying in the same campsite so I really need the right ticket. If all else fails, there could be a Dukes of Hazzard style TVR/fence interface on the Thursday afternoon. Can you fit bull bars to a Griff?

I've sent you an email direct but just in case you don't get it, I am very interested in how many tickets you can get and the price.

I may well have access to a couple of Houx Annexe camping tickets. A friend ordered a load in April 2001 for this years (2002) race. Let me know and I will see what I can do.

Any ideas when we'll be getting contact by the ACO regarding booked tickets?
I booked 7 places for Maison Blanche just before Xmas. Got a letter confirming the booking, but not heard anything since. I know it takes a while but it'd still be nice to hear something.
Any Le Mans regulars be able to let me know when you usually hear again from the ACO?

I did have occasion to complain, in writing, to the ACO after Le Mans 2000. I am stil patiently waiting for a reply.
To add to this, I understand the TVRCC group I'm with have had their booking changed (read f****d up) to Houx Annexe, rather than Houx itself. Since my better half is not 100% sold on the idea of visiting Le Mans again (after the appauling weather of last year), I'm keen to check up on the facilities etc. before confirming.
Does anyone know what the showers etc. are like in the Annexe? and exactly which bit is it, in relation to Houx itself? I did try looking on the LM website, but couldn't seem to find a map.

Which group are you with? In my view, Houx is full of tree ruts, Houx Annexxe is full of grass. It is a bit more packed than Houx but if you get there early you can reserve a good spot. Toilets and showers are about 2/3 minutes walk away. It is situated at the right end of Houx as you look at the Houx entrance to the circuit.

I emailed them yesterday and they actually replied! They said that they will send out confirmation Mid-April. I emailed them back to see if they can let me know if I have got the tickets I asked for as will be going to the testing in May so I need to know as soon as possible. I presume just because I have received the letter it doesn't mean I will receive the tickets I've asked for?
the only good news for those of us booking direct is that the reason the tvrcc and other organisers havent got the allocations they wanted are that the aco is selling more tickets direct to punters....
i assume they will not confirm anything until they know how many french bods want tickets, and its only the stupid english who book a year in advance...

No they have two toilet/shower blocks IIRC at either end of Houx Annexxe. It's just a long way from one side to the other.

I'm with (one of ?) the TVRCC group(s), and we were in Houx itself last year, just opposite the shower block & slow food place.
I assume, if you're talking of a 2 min walk, that these the same showers you use if you're in the Annexe?
I tried booking tickets last year & got the same old story - wait 'till April. Trouble with this is:
a) Do you book your ferry before & sweat on getting a camping ticket??
b)Do you wait for your tickets to come through & risk not being able to book a crossing??
Or alternatively
Try and blag your way onto a campsite using sticky tape & your mate's ticket (who is already in there!)
Or as I have done..
Pay over the odds through a travel company???
P.S Hello Ian - I'll meet you outside Houx Annexe with your Griff & a roll of sticky tape
