So now I'm driving round with "Captain Volvo" and "Bod" (my co-pilot) showing in my side windows and want to know when I have to take them off.

When does everyone else do it (I know some of you leave them on all year).

Cheers

I'm thinking the rest of the Summer? Stickers aren't cheap and they take time to put on so why not get a bit more enjoyment out of them?

Mine are still on from 2006, but it is a Se7en and I kind of prefer it with the stickered up look smile

Most of mine will be coming off at the weekend ready for my return trip in three weeks for the Classic.

My WRR numbers will probably come off quite soon - will look a bit silly on the North Circular, and I have a nagging feeling they might attract unwanted plod-attention ("Do you think the road is a racetrack, sir?").

The stripes and the driver name are staying on though, I think they look great biggrin

I also find this a dilemma, I actually quite enjoyed driving round in a stickered car over the weekend and I think it looked tastefully done.

However I do keep getting funny looks and the locals in my village must think I'm off my head. Plus I'm going for a job interview later this week, probably not the best idea for "First Impressions" if anyone sees the car.

I took mine off tonight..now got a huge transparent pistonheads smiley on the rear window surrounded by 850 miles worth of grime.

I left the subtle pistonheads.com one on though

My Wife's away for a week so I won't get nagged to take them off 'her' car (which I took instead as my old Z needs welding).

Not that I'm under the thumb mind...

mine are gone, company car yer see, took 5mins to peel off.

i think next year we should have a general pistonheads car numbering system so that everyone thats a member will have a number, might get a bit silly mind cos i bet theres a few thousand on here!

My stickers are off. I kept them on last year for an event in August because the stripes looked quite good. This year I was disappointed with our stickers so I've taken them off already.

You can use a hot air stripper type thing. You won't burn the paint because your hand is at the end of it peeling off the sticker.
The smell of burning hair is usually a give away its too closewink

In July I will mostly be attempting to be classy ... as opposed to my usual brashy smile
