Yes it was us that spotted them, caught them and then went to Le Mans plod shop for me to ID them. Hope they get what they deserve. We got texted from site saying that their car was on the move and just before it was torched plod arrived and organised tow truck (boooooooooooo). I think that it had suffered fairly major damage by that time any way. From what i saw it failed the test for safety glass and also non cracking headlights and tail lights whilst under attack from hammer. The paint was added to but with a fairly heavy ha ha...why do people take spray cans to Le Mans any way.
I could bore you with the full story but if you want more ask?? I will say that i am sure that when plod turned up they were relieved. British justice had been done, fair, fast and swift.

hi guys, well you all seem to want the details...we arrived back from race end about 1600 ish and we watched a group of 3 lads (18 ish) wandering around camp site while we were cooking our grub. We wathched a little longer and fronted them, they just laughed it off in french. So we watched a little longer and they proceeded into a very large tent and then emerged with a cooker, gas bottle, two holdalls full of clothes i presume and some bedding. We challenged them again and they run off laughing. You are then in that dilemma is it there property and tent or some one elses. What would you do next??
We were in Nord Bleu and heard about this on Sunday.....Good Catch! Thats something that I didn't enjoy. Having to stay by your tent in case something walked...The EVERYTHING rather than let the pikeys have it! We'd heard the track restaurant was open and that the town was worth a look but we didn;t dare leave our kit!
All 6 offenders locked up after about an hour of being sat on the ground facing a public humiliation (one with a very sore arm and set of fingers plus a large bruise that seem to appear after a rather unpleasnt contact with possibly my forehead). Removed by Gendarmerie and a few plain clothes plod along with all recovered property to Le Mans Plod shop ( call them if you are missing anything ) There car wrecked and someone hot wired their scooter which we happily played with along with several others. Plod have all my details and all the guys from the tent got their gear back. Happy days eh!!

I have to say after the race on Sunday when the pikeys come in isn't very relaxed. Everyone's manning their ground and possessions or they get nicked.
The items that we didn't take back got offered around before being rightly abused. If we're not having them, they sure as hell aren't.
